5th Year Students visit Baldonnel. 5th year LCVP students recently visited Baldonnel Airfield as part of their career studies. The students attended a very informative talk on careers in the Air Corp and were then given a tour of the airfield. It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip and all involved would like to say a big THANK YOU to all in Baldonnel, especially to John O'Brien, Mark O'Brien and Paul Maher.
Congratulations to the 5th Year LCA Hotel and Catering class who organised a bake sale in the school for Temple Street Hospital. The students were busy all morning baking beautiful cakes and then sold them during break-time. They raised €120. Well done to all involved.
Congratulations and a big THANK YOU to all who took part in our 5k and 10k Santa Dash on Saturday. The event was a fantastic success with athletes from all round the country competing. We would like to thank all who made the event possible - our sponsors, our stewards, the Gardai, the Parents Association and all those who took part. A big thank you also to all our students who took part in the 5k fun run on Friday afternoon.
Farewell to the class of 2014 On Wednesday 22nd St. Mary's had a very special day in honour of our departing class of 2014. The students were firstly served breakfast, and then moved outside for fun and games and then back in for some lunch. The day was a great success and was enjoyed thoroughly by staff and students alike. All in St. Mary's would like to wish all the class of 2014 the very best in the upcoming exams and for the future.

Seachtain na Gaeilge was recently held in the school. Throughout the week many events were held to celebrate our national language including quizzes and a concert.
Well done to St. Mary's School Choir under the guidance of Ms. Brady for giving a wonderful performance at the Liam Lawton Christmas Concert in the school gym on Saturday night. The venue was packed to capacity and all present were treated to a festive evening of music and song. All the hard work paid off as all who attended the concert were treated to beautiful singing and harmonies by the choir who sang one song solo and then joined Liam and the band for 3 more numbers. All in St. Mary's are very proud of you. Well done!
